Florianã³polis has 40-plus white-sand beaches distributed along of the 33-mile-long island that makes up much of the city. It has some of brazil’s most beautiful beaches. Florianopolis’ northern beach praia dos ingleses faces the open ocean atlantic – with white sand and crystal clean waters, medium waves, with the water always warm. The beach has dunes that are perfect to do sandboarding, a submarine archaeological site (where you can go snorkeling), ecologic trails, prehistoric lithic workshops and rocks with petroglyphs. Nearby you find the beaches of santinho, brava, lagoinha, moã§ambique, canasvieiras, ponta das canas, cachoeira, jurere, daniela, forte and others. It also provides complete tourist infrastructure with diversified commerce.
